James S. Wasko, 75, Altoona, passed away due to an extended illness with complications from COVID-19 on March 2nd at UPMC Altoona. He was born in
Lilly, son of the late Stephen Wasko Sr. and O’Della (Folk) Wasko and later married Deborah Quintili.
He is survived by his loving wife; two daughters; a step-daughter, Kerry; 4 grandchildren: Izabelle, Cassie, Lucca, and Walker; eight brothers and sisters;
and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John.
James was an Altoona High School graduate and retired as a Manager for UPS. He served during Vietnam as a paratrooper in the US Army.
He enjoyed building hot rods and restoring toy-tin cars and was a member of the Buccinese Society.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home.
