Obituary

Jane A. Rubino, Altoona, passed away Friday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Nicholas and Maria (Santoianni) Maucieri. 

On July 15, 1950, she married Michael A. Rubino. He preceded her in death in 2017. 

She is survived by a daughter, Michele (Christopher) McConnell, of Hollidaysburg; two sisters-in-law, Anne Rubino and Carmenia Schorner; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Anthony, Carmen and Joseph Maucieri; and a sister, Lucy Ciccarella. 

Jane was an Altoona High School graduate and retired from Veeder Root Co. as an inspector. 

She also volunteered at the Altoona Hospital. 

Jane was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. 

Friends will be received from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023, at Santella Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated following the visitation at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in memory of Jane to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
