Jason Ridgway Karnas

Jason Ridgway Karnas, 56 of Bedford, Pennsylvania passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026, surrounded by his family and friends at UPMC Altoona.
Jason was born in McKeesport, PA., on February 14, 1970, to the late Carla Ridgway and William Karnas.
Jason made an impact on the lives of so many through his genuine kindness and uplifting spirit. He was thoughtful, generous and had an infectious smile that will be deeply missed. Jason had a one-of-a-kind personality and captivating presence.
He will be remembered for his witty humor, unbridled storytelling and his ability to listen to anyone, anytime, anywhere.
Some of Jason's greatest passions were watching Steelers football and listening to The Beatles. He also enjoyed fishing, playing pool and watching old TV shows. Sports were always a part of Jason's life. From playing football in high school to throwing darts later in life. He always embraced the opportunity to compete and the banter that went along with it.
Jason is survived by his loving son, Matthew Karnas partner of Jennah Kuhn of Jonestown, PA., his siblings;
Aaron (brother) and Kristi Karnas of Jim Thorpe, PA., Laurel (sister) and Marc Rosen of Allentown, PA. and 3 nephews Cooper, Colby, Chase and his many friends who became family. 
A celebration of life will be held on July 26th at the American Legion in Bedford 12-3
