Jeffrey A. Beasom, 65, Florida, passed away Dec. 10, 2022 in Florida. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Kenneth G. and Jennie F. (Patton) Beasom. He later married Margaret M. Moore.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Margaret; a daughter, Alyssa A. Morrel; 3 sisters: Rebecca Reighard, Laura Sutton, and Sandra Powley; and two brothers, James and Gary Beasom.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Mike; and his dogs, Casper and Mr. Sulu.
Jeff was 1975 graduate of Altoona High School and the Vo-Tech. He worked as a programmer and analyst for the Indus Corporation and Hitatchi.
He was an accomplished musician and singer with a variety of bands throughout his life. He performed for the last 17 years in Austin, Texas with Full Moon Fever, Voices in the Sky, Earlybyrds, Beasom Thing, No Alternative, and Atomic Strawberry. He also enjoyed hunting and hiking on Chestnut Ridge and enjoyed being a part of and competing in USPSA Pistol Competitions. He was also a member of the TSRA (Texas State Rifle Association).
He loved dogs; especially his two pups Casper and Mr. Sulu. He also liked comedy; particularly Monty Python and other off-the-wall humor.
Friends will be received from 10am until the 11am memorial service on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at the Axe and Santella Family Chapel, 1534-4th St. Altoona PA 16601. Interment will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
