Jerry Stefanini Obituary

Jerry Stefanini, 78, of Altoona, flew with angels Thursday surrounded by his loving family. He struggled for many years and fought hard with a smile against several illnesses. He was born in Altoona.

He was married for 42 years to his wife and caretaker, Nancy Stefanini.

Jerrold was the hardest working salesman you would ever meet. He could sell you the pen from his pocket.

He served in the Army Reserves and then worked for International Harvester, Maximum Machine Co. as a salesman, and then as a regional sales manager for G.H. Hensley out of Dallas, Texas. Jerry also worked for MTG in Spain and ended his career in Altoona running his own business, Stefanini Equipment and Supply. During his career he was fortunate to travel the world and enjoy fabulous cuisine along the way.

In Jerry’s spare time he loved to “cook for an army” as we would always tease. He was a devoted husband and loving father. His laughter was contagious and his classic one-liners will stand the test of time. Everyone Jerry met recognized the twinkle in his blue eyes. “Jesus Jerry” is irreplaceable and his dog, Molly, will miss snuggling in his lap watching westerns and Fox news.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Francis Smith and Atillio Ralph Stefanini; as well as his brothers: Joe Stefanini and John Stefanini; and a sister, Nancy Stefanini.

He is survived by his children: Jerrilyn Mock, of Altoona; Andrew and Wydell Stefanini, of Jacksonville, Fla., Allen Stefanini, of Atlanta, Ga., Chad and Lyndsey Stefanini Lawson, of Daniels W.Va., and Matthew Stefanini, of Altoona.

Jerrold was blessed to spend time with his six grandchildren: Jessica Stefanini, Brittany Redman, Nanci Mock, Sloane Lawson, Slade Lawson and Stormi Lawson; and three great-grandchildren: Jiraiya, Quentin and Esme; as well as his niece, Melinda Fleck.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service Monday, March 6, 2023, at the Santella Funeral Home, with Pastor Beth Pyle officiating. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Jerry to the American Parkinson Disease Association, P.O. Box 61420, Staten Island, NY 10306.
