Joseph A. Mascitelli

Joseph A. Mascitelli, 65, Altoona, passed away Tuesday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Angelo J. and Alvera M. (Caputo) Mascitelli. He later married Mary Yeager.

He is survived by his loving wife; a daughter, Amanda Mascitelli; two sons: David and Jeff (Lena) Mascitelli; his two cats; and his dearest family friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, James V. Mascitelli and his beloved cat, Smokey.

Joe was an Altoona High School and Penn State University graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. He worked as a Network Administrator for several different computer companies.

Joe loved photography, 70’s rock music, and technology.

He was a remarkable father and a wonderful husband. His unconditional acceptance, immense generosity, and continual kindness lit up the lives of those who knew him. He is forever missed.

Friends will be received from 9am until the 11am funeral service, Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020 in the Santella Funeral Home. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
