Joseph Schiappa Obituary

Joseph N. Schiappa, 90, Altoona, peacefully passed away Saturday at his home. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Giovanni and Antoinette (Dibello) Schiappa and later married Pearl McConahy.

He is survived by his loving wife; a daughter, Tina Schiappa; a brother, Ralph (Jean) Schiappa; and two nephews: Frank and Tom Spallone.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Julia Spallone.

Joseph worked as a delivery and maintenance personnel at H & H Tire and later retired from Courtesy Motors.

He enjoyed spending his time working on cars.

He was of Catholic faith.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Fairview-Shelleytown Cemetery in Williamsburg. Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home.
