Joy M. (Parisi) Morrison

Joy M. (Parisi) Morrison, 81, of Altoona, Pennsylvania entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 22 2025 surrounded by her family at her home in Altoona. 

Joy was born on December 8, 1943 in Altoona, PA to the late Virginia (Rubine) Parisi and late  Michael Parisi. 

In addition to her parents, Joy is preceded in death by her sister-in-law Karen Parisi.

Joy is survived by her loving husband, James A. Morrison whom she married at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church on July 31, 1965. Joy is also survived by her loving children: Jackie (Jeff) Hazlett, Jeanie (Scott) Stirk and James (Christine) Morrison; her siblings: Michael (Martha) Parisi and William Parisi; and her loving grandchildren: Devon Morrison, Emilee and Tyler Stirk. 

Joy was Catholic by faith and a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Altoona for many years. Joy graduated from Altoona High School and then worked for State Farm as an Office Manager for over 40 years. In her free time, Joy loved spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Joy loved cooking and feeding her family as well as watching sports, and gardening. 

The Morrison family would like to send a special thanks to the ladies that took wonderful care of Joy through Asera Care Hospice; Michelle, Romona, Sherry, Dawn, Peggy and Trish. 

At the request of the deceased, no services will be held.
