It is with deep sorrow, the family of Kenneth “Scott” Hamlin, 62, of Altoona, announce his passing. He was a son of the late Richard and Jeanne (Wolfe) Hamlin.
Scott was a 1978 graduate of Altoona Area High School and attended Penn State.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 38 years, Laurel Hamlin; their twins, Ohara Hamlin of Pittsburgh, and Dallas Hamlin and wife, Alex, of Hummelstown; his first grandchild this year, Ayla Celeste Hamlin; his siblings, Richard Hamlin and Pat Reed (Preston); niece, Kellie (Lego) Spencer (Fred); and nephew, Charlie Lego (Danielle).
He was preceded in death by his devoted mother-in-law, Celeste Schorner.
Scott enjoyed doing everything in life at least once. He was a builder of homes and motorcycles. He also enjoyed painting and the company of his pets. His most cherished pastime was spent with his children.
To us, he will always be the most interesting man in the world.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the convenience of the family on a later date.
Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Scott can be made to the Santella Funeral Home, 1106 Eighth Ave. Altoona PA 16602.
