Leona W. Mills, 93, Altoona, passed away Saturday at Maybrook Hills Healthcare and Rehabilitation. She was born in Worcester, Mass., daughter of the late Clark and Alice (Blish) Wesson. On Sept. 29, 1951 she married Frederic J. Mills and he preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 2017.
She is survived by a daughter, Debra (Richard) Parmenter, of Fl.; two sons: Guy (Wendy) Mills, of Hubbardston, Mass. And Jon (Barbara) Mills, of Duncansville; 8 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 1 step great-granddaughter.
Leona was preceded in death by a son, Jay Mills; great-grandson, Michael; and siblings: Clarke, Jude and Dean.
Leona was a graduate of South High School in Worcester, Mass. She loved being a homemaker to her family.
She was involved in scouting for about 50 years. She was a member of 3049 Chief Logan District earning a Silver Beaver Award and acting as Unit Commissioner for the troop.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or services. Interment will be in Massachusetts. Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home.
