Linda C. (Bare) Scalice

Linda C. (Bare) Scalice, 82, of Hollidaysburg, formerly of Altoona, passed away Sunday March 24, 2024 at Midtown Oaks Health and Rehab Center. She was born May 24, 1941 to the late Sheldon Bare and Dorothea (Giosa) Cromer. 

She was married 63 years to Frank Scalice. 

She is survived by her husband; 2 children: Mark (Amanda) of Cresson and  Renee (Tom) Palmerine; a sister Holly Spatofora, all of Altoona; 11 grandchildren: Kayla (Jake) Condron,  Baylee Scalice, Dominic Scalice, Austin and Rachel Palmerine, Jeffery Jr., Adrianna Scalice, and Shawn and Alyssa Gresh; 4 great grand children: Jacob, Luke, Brynlee and Kora; and several  nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by son, Jeffrey Sr.; granddaughter, Kelsey Scalice; 2 sisters: Shelia Wahl and Wendy Hainley; and brother Sheldon “Micky” Bare Jr. 

Linda retired from the Altoona Area School District where she was a cafeteria worker and an active member of her local AFSCME Union. She enjoyed playing Bingo and her many trips to various PA casinos, Rocky Gap and Atlantic City, playing casino video games. Linda was an avid bowler and traveled with her husband to many Pro-am tournaments. She was also a member of the local Red Hats and enjoyed the friendships she made. 

She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.

Friends will be received from 10am – 12, Tuesday March 26, 2023 at Santella Funeral Home, where a funeral service will take place at 12pm. Committal at  Calvary Cemetery.
