Louis V. Rago

Louis V. Rago, 66, Altoona, passed away Monday at his home. He was born in Altoona, son of Domenick Rago and the late Rose (Colabove) Rago. On Oct. 31, 1987, he married Brigitte McCahren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Brigitte; a son, Domenick (Kristen) Rago; two daughters: April Rago and Rebecca Rago; 6 grandchildren: Samantha Boose, Victoria Lafferty, Emilia Rago, Jonah Endress, Louis Rago and Rose Endress; 2 sisters: Dawn Marie Showalter and Julianne (Don) Wolford; and many nieces and nephews.

He was greeted on the other side by his mother; and brother, Mark Rago.

Louis was a 1975 graduate of Altoona High School and worked in the maintenance department for Penn State University.

He enjoyed flea-marketing with his sisters; being outside in his yard, and swimming. Above all, he was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 1pm until the 3pm memorial service on Sunday, November 19, 2023 in the Santella Funeral Home.
