Marie A. (West) Lombardo

Marie A. (West) Lombardo, 82, Hollidaysburg, passed away Tuesday at UPMC Altoona, surrounded by many loved ones, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Clarence and Anna Marie (Huber) West. She later married Joseph Lombardo and he preceded her in death in 2007.

She is survived by her brother, Jack (Deb) West; a sister, Shirley Vitarelli; numerous nieces and nephews; very special friends Grace and Denny Rodriguez, Sharon Collins, and Rich and Elaine Mattson.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Nancy; and two brothers, Ronald and William West.

Marie was a graduate of Cresson High School and Saint Francis University. She worked 42 years as a lab technician at Altoona Hospital.

Marie enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and had a great love for each and every one. She also enjoyed traveling with her sister, Nancy. She was the best aunt anyone could ever ask for.

Marie was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

Friends will be received at the funeral Mass at 10:30 AM Thurs., Aug. 22, 2024 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home.
