Marlene A. “Maggie” Bowser, 82, Altoona, passed away Tuesday at Maybrook Hills Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Nagle) Gates. She later married Sunny A. Bowser and he preceded her in death in 2021.
She is survived by 2 sons: Daniel (fiancee, Sara Quay) Bowser and William (Christina) Bowser; 6 grandchildren: Madison, Cameryn, Jacob, Olivia, Evelyn and Alexandria; 2 brothers: Joe and Bob Gates; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Maggie was preceded in death by several siblings.
She loved being a stay-at-home mom to her children and spending time with her family. She also loved to bake and watch football, especially the Steelers.
She loved her church and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Friends will be received from 4pm until the 6pm funeral home service on Friday, November 8, 2024 in the Santella Funeral Home. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in South Fork.
