Mary Jane Faretta, 96, Hollidaysburg, passed away Saturday at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg. She was born in Hollidaysburg, daughter of the late George and Regina (Kelley) Kratzer. She married Michael Faretta Sr. on July 22, 1944 and after 60 loving years of marriage, he preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 2004.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna (Robert) Miller of Md.; two sons: Dan (Susan) Faretta of Altoona, and Michael Jr. (Chandler) of Fl.; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Lins; and siblings: Marjorie, Pauline, Jack, and Fern.
Mary Jane was a 1942 St. Mary’s Catholic High School graduate. She spent her life as a homemaker, raising her family.
She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary Jane was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.
At the request of the deceased, a private Mass will be held at the convenience of the family. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
