Obituary
In the care of Hospice, with loved ones at his side, Michael Joseph Gaeta, age 61, died on January 18, 2023 in his North Port, Florida home. He was born on Dec. 13, 1961 in Altoona to Anna (Malfara) Gaeta and Joseph (Capece) Gaeta who both preceded him in death.
Mike was a highly-trained and well-respected Auto Mechanic. His first business in the 1980’s was Mike’s Garage in Greenwood. Over the years, he was also employed by several car dealerships. Mike is best known as the owner and operator of Altoona Auto Repair on 7th Ave, which was open throughout the 1990s.
An accomplished guitarist, Mike played in the bands, White Shadow and Past Time Band. He had a love for his dogs, who accompanied him through life. His favorite pastime was motorcycle riding.
Survivors include sisters: Theresa Harper (Kevin), Mary Breedlove (Jim Lichtfuss); niece, Cori Cameron (Jeff); great niece, Hazel Cameron; many cousins; and countless friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Santella Funeral Home, 1106 8th Ave. Altoona. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
