Michael is survived by three sons: Michael E. Mangia of Altoona, Stephen (Terri) Mangia of Conway S.C., and Vincent (Elizabeth) Mangia of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.; two grandchildren: Kristin (Paul) and Ashley; three great-grandchildren; loving cousins; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters: Theresa (Guido) Barcarro, Pauline (Joseph) Wales, and Julia (Paul) Figart; and one brother, Albert Mangia.
Michael was an Altoona High School graduate, and worked for Butterick in the printing department, and later retired as their delivery driver.
He was a member of the UVA and a lifetime member of the Bavarian Aid Society. He enjoyed cars, food, nature, and auctions. In high school, many knew him as an excellent halfback in football. He was incredibly proud of his three sons and they will all miss him dearly.
