Patricia L. Sisto

She was born in Hollidaysburg, daughter of the late Beatrice Burket. She married John S. Sisto Jr. He preceded her in death on March 21, 2001.

Surviving from a previous marriage are four children: James G. Cherry, Christine Burda and husband, Russell, and Ronald P. Cherry, all of Altoona, and Jeffrey L. Cherry and wife, Cindy, of Cross Junction, Va.; two step-children: John Sisto and wife, Linda, of Mount Arlington, N.J., and Charmaine Wittman and husband, Kenny, of Boca Raton, Fla.; a sister, Marian Himes of Puzzletown; a brother, Wayne McIntire of Melrose, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Juniata.

Patricia worked as a cashier for Acme Super Market and also worked at LaJo's Market.

She was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School.

Patricia enjoyed traveling, playing pinochle in various clubs with friends and spending time with her family as often as possible.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at the Leslie E. Axe Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, at the Axe and Santella Family Chapel, 1534 Fourth St., by Pastor Elizabeth Hess. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.

In memory of Patricia, contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church.
