Patricia L. Way

Patricia L. Way, 72, Altoona, passed away Thursday at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care. 

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Salvatore and Amelia (Calabrese) Turchetta.

Surviving are three daughters: Beth (Kevin) Evans, Lori Piper and fiancé, Denny Jones and Gina Way and fiancé, Robert Gallaher; a sister, Theresa (Clyde) Nash; three grandchildren: Ryan, Robbie and Olivia; a great-grandson, Ryker Friedenberger; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Christian.

Patricia was an Altoona High School graduate where she received the Italian Language Award in her senior year. She attended IUP. She later retired from Garvey manor as an admission coordinator. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

She enjoyed trips to the beach with family and especially her Boston Terriers.

A private viewing will be held at the convenience of the family. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2020, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
