Raymon L. Hale, 87, Altoona, passed away Monday at the VA Hospital. He was born in Altoona, son of the late John and Nellie (Gray) Hale. On April 12, 1958 he married Ann Gioiosa.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years; a sister, Mary Jane Richards; and many nieces and nephews.
Raymon was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Ross, Tim, and John Hale
Raymon was a 1952 graduate of Altoona High School and worked for Wise Potato Chips as a driver and salesman for 44 years.
Raymon served four years in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
He enjoyed playing cards, working in the yard, walking, reading, sports, especially Penn State, and distilleries.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, where he participated in many church activities including ushering and the Family Life Committee. Each year he also helped set up for the Mount Carmel festival.
Friends will be received from 10am to 11am Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021 at Santella Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, immediately following the visitation. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery with full military honors.
