Regina E. Ventresca, 94, Altoona, passed away Monday at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Petrogalo) DeMatteis; and raised by her sister, Corinda Rapina and her husband, Nicholas.
On June 19, 1952, she married Edmund Ventresca who preceded her in death March 5, 1997.
Surviving are her daughter, Vicki (Charles) McCord; three grandchildren: Michael, Molly and Mikayla McCord; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Michael Jr.
She was preceded in death by a son, Frank Ventresca.
Regina was an Altoona High School graduate. She worked for Blair County TB Society and for A&P Warehouse as a switchboard operator.
She enjoyed crocheting, the Pittsburgh Steelers and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed trips to Atlantic City with her daughter and granddaughters.
Regina was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
At the request of the deceased, services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will be made at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home.
