Richard L. Jannetta

Richard L. Jannetta, 77, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Saturday at his home. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Emilio and Mary (Laraia) Jannetta. On July 1, 1968 he married Carol Bickhardt in Winchester, Va.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Carol; a daughter, Carla (Kevin) Bickhardt; two sons: Randy Bickhardt and Richard Jannetta Jr.; four grandchildren: Stephanie Miller, Nicholas, Nathan, and Rachel Bickhardt; 3 great-grandchildren: Savannah, Harper, and Bo; and a cousin, Sandy.

Richard was the last surviving member of his family.

Richard graduated from Altoona High School and served in the United States Army.

He enjoyed hunting, gardening, his pets, and watching the birds for hours.

Friends will be received from 9-10:30am Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021 at Santella Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated following the visitation at 10:30am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery with military honors.
