Robert V. Boyer

Robert V. Boyer, 76, Ebensburg, passed away Friday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Willard and Doris (Lindemer) Boyer.

He is survived by a son, Ron (Thelma) Dibble; a daughter, Lillian (Michael) Storey; 3 grandchildren: Michael Storey Jr., Jennifer (Cory) Shoff and Ronald Dibble; 2 great-grandchildren: Conor and Margaret Shoff; a brother, Willard Boyer; and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Paul Boyer.

Robert was an Altoona High graduate and joined the United States Air Force, where he served as a Staff Sergeant during Vietnam.

He worked at Boyer Candy Company and later worked in plumbing and maintenance for the United States Department of Agriculture.

Robert was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to travel and contribute to many charities. He especially loved spending time with his family.

He was a member of the VFW and American Legion of Altoona.

Friends will be received from 5-8 pm Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2023 in the Santella Funeral Home. A funeral service will be celebrated at 11am Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023 in the Santella Funeral Home, with Pastor Bill Pepper, officiating, followed by committal at Blair Memorial Park.
