Rose M. (Hatch) Calderwood

Rose M. Calderwood, 88, Altoona, passed away Thursday at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late George L. and Mary (Schmeltzer) Hatch. She married Calvin E. Calderwood and he preceded her in death in 2003.

She is survived by a sister, Anna (Butch) Walters; a brother, Tom (Vicki) Hatch; and many nieces and nephews.

Rose was preceded in death by siblings: Mary, Bill, Caroline, and George.

Rose worked as a dietitian at Hillview Nursing Home.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a private viewing will be held at the convenience of the family. Friends will be received at the 11am funeral Mass celebrated on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Committal at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home.
