Rose Marie Nasralla

Rose Marie Nasralla passed peacefully on Monday, June 23rd at the Lutheran Home in
Hollidaysburg. She was born in Altoona, daughter of Antonio and Maria (Tomeo) Maniglia.
She was married to James J. Nasralla on September 15, 1949. He preceded her in death on
December 21, 1986.
Surviving is her son, Anthony and his wife, Karen of Cresson, PA; two grandchildren: Dr.
James L. Nasralla of Altoona and Dr. Maria Rose (Nasralla) Collins, of Cockeysville, MD; and
a Sister, Carmeline Maniglia, of Altoona. She is also survived by her Nephew, Dr. Anthony
J. Maniglia; and 4 Nieces: Maria (Maniglia) Schuman, Mary (Orsena) Eiman, Dr Elvira
(Maniglia) Panico and Joanne Orsena.
She was preceded in death by 4 siblings: Marco Maniglia, Dr. Angelo Maniglia, Josephine
(Maniglia) Love and Augusta (Maniglia) Orsena; and a niece, Lucia (Orsena) McLaughlin.
Rose was a 1943 Graduate of Altoona Area High School and a Licensed Cosmetologist. She
was a valued partner to her Husband as they operated his business, Valet Cleaners and
Tailoring located on Chestnut Ave for over 45 years.
Rose was a life long and active member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. She was thrilled
to celebrate the Church's 100th anniversary in 2024 which coincided with her 100th birthday.
She was active in the St. Rose Supper Club and numerous parish activities.
Rose enjoyed cooking and was famous for her meatballs, a recipe handed down through the
generations which she proudly passed on to her Grandson. She was an accomplished creator
of ceramic art. She enjoyed social gatherings with her family and friends especially those
involving meals. She will be fondly remembered for her effervescent personality and her kind
heart.
Friends will be received from 4pm to 7pm Friday, June 27, 2025 in the Santella Funeral
Home, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at
9:30am, Saturday June 28, 2025 at St. Rose of Lima Church. Committal will be held at
Calvary Cemetery.
