Steven A. Gilbert

Steven A. Gilbert, 81, Hollidaysburg, met Jesus in glory on March 16, 2023, at home. Steve was a wonderful man who lived to know and love God and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. He spent his days reading the Holy Bible, studying commentaries, and analyzing the world from a profound Christian worldview. He was an incredibly talented artist, an intelligent, thoughtful, wise, and generous man, and loved to teach the Bible and proclaim Christ.

Steve is survived by his wife, Amy Webster; children: Anna, Aaron, and John; stepchildren: David and Lindsay; grandchildren; sister; and many friends.

Steve studied at the New York Studio School and the Art Students League. He helped to found Art in Common, has exhibited in several juried shows for over 40 years, has had solo exhibits at SAMA, and created a mural at the Blair County Genealogical Society.

As a member of the Blair County Republican committee, he truly wanted to conserve and celebrate all that is and was good here in America.

Friends will be received from noon until the 3 p.m. funeral service, Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Frankstown Park Missionary Church, 469 Church Lane, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648. Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home.
