Steven J. McCulley, 74, Altoona, passed away Wednesday at Garvey Manor. He was born in Germany, son of the late John and Helen (Aveni) McCulley. On Sept. 5, 1970, he married Lynda J. Turner, as she preceded him in death on Sept. 18, 2018.
He is survived by a son, Ryan (Stacy) McCulley; 3 grandchildren: Christian “Bubba”, Keira “Peepa” and Kaitlyn “Putt-Putt”; 2 brothers: Johnny (Pam) McCulley and Danny (Ann) McCulley; 2 sisters: Deedee Eichenlaub (Ken) and Rose (Denny) Graziosi; and good friend, Janeane Bower.
Steve was a 1970 graduate of Altoona High School and retired from Blair Senior Services as a mechanic.
He enjoyed baking homemade desserts and pizza’s, cooking, grilling, gardening, and woodworking, as well as working on his muscle cars and assembling stained glass soldering kits. Steve was well known for enjoying his desserts, sweets and coffee. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family.
Friends will be received from 2pm to 5pm on Saturday, July 18, 2026 in the Santella Funeral Home.
