Tara D. Bowers, 37, Duncansville, passed away Tuesday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Charles Bowers and Cathy (Horton) Pfahler.
She is survived by two brothers: William Bowers (fiance, Melissa McKee) and John (Brittany) Horton Jr; two sisters: Stacey (Bill) Schneider and Angelina Bowers; step-father, John Horton Sr.; a grandmother, Shirley Horton, an aunt, Iris Rhodes; an uncle, Ernie Swartz; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Troy Thompson.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles E. Bowers Jr.; grandparents: William and Mary Pfahler, Dorothy Swartz, Samuel Swartz, Frank Bowers, and Harry Horton.
Tara was a member of New Creation in Christ, Altoona.
For 12 years, she was a loyal volunteer to Meals on Wheels several times a week.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the Santella Funeral Home.
