Theodore S. Hatch Jr.

Theodore S. Hatch Jr., 83, of Duncansville, passed away Monday at his home from an extended illness surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Theodore S. Hatch Sr. and Virginia (Harber) Hatch. Married Jane Aaron on August 3, 1963 at St. Therese Catholic Church.

He is survived by his loving wife; brother, Joseph and wife Peggy Hatch; sister-in-law Beth Ekner and husband Jan Ekner, two daughters: Andrea Morina, son-in-law Pete Morina; Tracy Mattern and Fiance, Dave Breitenbach; 3 grandsons: Jacob Mattern, Zachary Mattern, and Joshua Morina; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, William Hatch; and a sister, Shirley Pinter and son-in-law Russell Mattern.

Theodore was a 1958 graduate of Altoona Area High School and worked as a printer until retiring from Global Village Press in Bellwood.

Theodore served 6 years in the PA National Guard.

He also enjoyed fishing with his best friend, Dave, gardening, and was an avid sports fan. His greatest love was Notre Dame Football, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and UConn girls basketball. He will always be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Theodore was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Hollidaysburg.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023 at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 312 Clark St. Hollidaysburg PA 16648. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery with military honors.
