Todd C. Talasky

Todd C. Talasky, 62, Altoona, passed away Tuesday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of Terry and the late June (Santopietro) Talasky.  

He is survived by his father, Terry, of Altoona; two brothers: Mark (Debra), of Altoona and Scott (Alice) of Strasburg, Va.; and six nieces who adored him. He was “Uncle Pap” to great-nephews, Jordan and Alex; and great-niece, Haleigh. 

Todd was preceded in death by his mother, June; and a sister, Terry Lee. 

Todd was a 1976 graduate of Altoona Area High School. He retired in 2014 from the U.S. Coast Guard as MSSD4 Chief Warrant Officer, with 37 years of active service. His last duty station was at Marine Safety Unit, Pittsburgh.  

He was a member of the Blair County Game, Fish, and Forestry, the Unter Uns Musical and Entertainment Society and the Swiss Club. 

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Committal will be held at Calvary Cemetery with full military honors.

Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home.
