Tony "Harpo" Uliano

Tony “Harpo” Uliano, 75, of Altoona, passed away unexpectedly Sunday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Domenick and Linda (Frederick) Uliano. On March 25, 1972 he married his “bride” Harriet Yeager, with whom he shared 51 years of marriage.

He is survived by his loving wife; two daughters: Shawna Uliano and Amanda (Chris) Baronner; 4 grandchildren: Joseph Uliano, Grace Osmolinski, Jace Baronner and Trenton Baronner; 4 sisters: Anita Deleo, Betty Friedenberger, Wanda Weakland and Bonnie (Paul) Wagner; 3 sisters-in-law: Sandy Uliano, Jackie Kelly and Joyce (Lou) Stahl; numerous nieces, nephews, close friends and his “son” Luca.

He was preceded in death by his brothers: Ronald and Donald Uliano; a sister, Shirley Gardner; brothers in law: Bob Deleo, Jim Weakland, Rupert Friedenberger; and a nephew, Jim Weakland.

Tony was a 1967 graduate of Altoona High School and a member of First Church of Christ Altoona. He was employed by PPG Industries for more than 30 years.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his good buddies, Terry Barley and Tom McFarland. He adored his grandchildren and was always present at their special and sporting events.

Friends will be received from 4-7pm Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024 in the Santella Funeral Home and from 10am until the 11am funeral service, Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park.
