William Kuny Sr. Obituary

William G. Kuny Sr., 83, Altoona, passed away Sunday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late William F. Kuny Jr. and Charlotte (Kuny) Brubaker.

He is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Lee, of California; four sons: William Jr. (Daryle), Duane (Bonnie), Mike (Sue) and Terry (Kim), all of Altoona; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Linda (David) Howard; a brother, Ron (Patricia) Kuny; many half brothers and half sisters; aunts; uncles; and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Terry Kuny Jr.; a sister, Janice Trexler; and the mother of his children, Theresa Kuny.

William retired from James Industries after 35 plus years of service and many years with Force Electric.

He enjoyed yearly fishing trips to Sand Lake in Elgin, Ontario and local fishing with family and friends, as well as hunting with sons and anyone else he could get to go. William spent many nights doing DJ record playing as Rockin Review. He also enjoyed stock car racing, watching NASCAR, Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State football.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park. Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home.
